Bones is renewed for a ninth season. Fox announced the early pickup of their flagship drama Tuesday morning during the Television Critics Association press tour.
The shows renewal is contingent upon getting contract renewals for Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz. When asked earlier in the year about a ninth season, in a tweet, Boreanaz stated anything could happen. Showrunner Hart Hanson is confident their negotiations will lead to an agreement.
“After more than 150 episodes, Bones continues to be one of television’s most dynamic and consistent dramas,” said Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, at Fox. “We at Fox, along with millions of zealous fans, look forward to seeing where the incredible creative team takes the series next season.”
I think it ok now to say that Bones is renewed for Season 9. That makes it the longest running show in history – that depends on bones.
