Savannah mayor meets cast, crew of ‘Killing Winston Jones’

Savannah Mayor Edna Jackson checked in on the cast and crew of Killing Winston Jones at Savannah Arts Academy and received an Academy Award winning smooch from Richard Dreyfus. The film, including actors Danny Glover, Richard Dreyfuss, Danny Masterson and Jon Heder, is directed by Joel David Moore who recently finished filming CBGB in Savannah.

Ethan Jones, a sixth grade English teacher is on a mission to get the newly constructed Junior High gymnasium named after his elderly father Winston, the old retired gym teacher, despite the fact that being dead is one of the requirements.

Joel David Moore to Co-Star in ‘Paging Dr. Freed’ Pilot

Kyle Howard and Joel David Moore will co-star in USA Network’s comedy pilot Paging Dr. Freed. The pair will play brother’s who inherit their father’s medical practice after he has a heart attack during an attempt at “playing doctor” with his young secretary.

Kyle Howard was last seen playing Dr. Paul Van Dyke in Royal Pains.

Joel David Moore attends the 2012 Newport Beach Film Festival

Joel David Moore and Jamie-Lynn Sigler attended the 2012 Newport Beach Film Festival on Thursday April 26th for the opening night of their film Jewtopia.

Inspired from the international smash hit play seen by over a million people, Jewtopia stars Ivan Sergei, Joel David Moore, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jon Lovitz, Rita Wilson, Tom Arnold, Peter Stormare, Camryn Manheim, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Wendie Malick, Nicollette Sheridan, Phil Rosenthal, Christine Lakin, Hayes MacArthur and Lin Shaye.

The story is about Christian O’Connell (Sergei) and Adam Lipschitz (Moore) — two childhood friends who reunite as adults to help each other land the women of their dreams. Chris wants to marry Allison (Hewitt), a Jewish girl, so that he’ll never have to make another decision for as long as he lives. Adam is on the verge of getting married to Hannah (Sigler), a woman he is not content with. When Chris enlists Adam’s help in pretending to be Jewish so that Allison will date him, cultures collide and chaos ensues!
