On July 11, Syfy is premiering Alphas, an actioner from writers Zak Penn (X-Men: The Last Stand) and Michael Karnow about five ordinary folks were are brought together to form one helluva crime-fighting team. The series stars David Strathairn (Good Night, and Good Luck), Malik Yoba (New York Undercover), Warren Christie (October Road), Laura Mennell (Watchmen), Ryan Cartwright (Mad Men), and Azita Ghanizada (Castle).
