TJ Thyne

Born March 7, 1975 in Boston, Massachusetts. Graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Southern California School of Theatre in 1997.

In 2001, he co-founded Theatre Junkies, in Los Angeles, with Dave Kuhr, which has grown to offer motivation, voice, movement, on-camera, career and acting classes for both stage and screen as well as production several short film.

Career

TJ made his first television appearance on Home Improvement in 1998. He plays Todd who is stuck outside a club with Tim, unable to get past the bouncer. Turns out, it’s Todd’s lucky night. His big line is “Who’s the loser now?”

The late 1990s were spent with one episode appearances on a number of other shows. In 2000, he did a four episode arc on Walker, Taxes Ranger as Wallace Slausen. He continued working steadily in backdrop roles on shows like NCIS, CSI, Charmed, and 24 before landing his supporting role on Bones.

He first worked with David Boreanaz in 2003/2004, appearing in three episodes of Angel.

TJ Thyne plays entomologist Dr. Jack Hodgins, the bugs and slime guy, on the FOX crime drama Bones.
