Bones Season 8 Wrap Party (May 4, 2013)

Bones Season 8 Wrap Party was held at the The Emerson Theater in Los Angeles, California on May 5, 2013. DJ Bobby French was spinning the tracks as the cast and crew celebrated the end of another season and the anticipation of the a break before the pending Season 9.

Anya Garnis and Dmitry Chaplin from So You Think You Can Dance and the Bones ballroom dancing episode “The Diamond In The Rough” (Season 8, Episode 10) were killing it on the dance floor.

Even after calling it wraps, TJ Thyne reports the crew returned to the set the following day so they can finish up two bonus episodes they’ve been filming for Season 9. Maybe they don’t know what the words finale and hiatus mean.

Enjoy these tweets about the details of the party!

Bones Season 8 Episode 1 Begins Filming

Today marks the beginning of filming for Bones eighth season as announced by Hart Hanson. Some of the cast chimed in on twitter, including TJ Thyne (Jack Hodgins), Michaela Conlin (Anglea Montenegro Hodgins), Tamara Taylor (Camille Saroyan), John F Daley (Lance Sweets), Eugene Byrd (Clark Edison), Stephen Nathan (producer), and Ian Toynton (producer).

Booth’s family and his FBI job have been taken from him by a twisted madman. Brennan is on the run, following frighteningly close to a path her father was force to trod, after being set up by Pelant. The Jeffersonian carries on trying to clear her name without help from it’s brilliant forensic anthropologist.

So far, the few clues we have to follow are that Booth is in a bad position with the FBI thinking he has a hand in Brennan’s disappearance. Booth has a hard time with the absence of his family and a sense of helplessness. Cam’s instance on keeping their work above reproach will allow Brennan to return, cleared of all wrong doing by the courts. Pelant will be with us through more of season eight, continuing to challenge the team with his evil genius. Finally, even though Booth had to hand over his gun, there will be gun play in episode 1, “The Future in the Past.”

Comic Con 2012: Clique Clack Interviews Bones Stephen Nathan and David Boreanaz

Clique Clack catches up with Bones executive producer Stephen Nathan and star David Boreanaz in the Comic Con 2012 Press Room following their panel.

Stephen Nathan tells us Pelant will be a dark cloud over the lives of Booth and Brennan and the staff of the Jeffersonian throughout Season 8. Brennan has now found herself replaying the life of choices her father, Max once had to make. The situation with Brennan will be resolved so she can return to the show cleared of any wrong doing but she will also have to reconcile with Booth. Is love enough?

Where does David Boreanaz draw the intense, complex emotions he portrays in Booth? Will he be directing more episodes this season? Has directing affected the way he approaches his character? How important is it for him to broaden his career by working on other projects? His favorite stand alone episode was the Holloywood film. Will season 8 be his last?

Bones Comic Con 2012 Panel Discussion

On Friday July 13, 2012, Bones‘ executive director Stephen Nathan took the stage along with stars Emily Deschanel (Dr. Temperance Brennan) and David Boreanaz (Special Agent Seely Booth) to the delight of Bones fans and discussed the shows direction in upcoming season 8.

Here’s some of the panel highlights.

The show would love to shoot in other locations around the world like the did with the two-part London episodes. Memories from the episode “The Suit on the Set” where Booth and Bones are portrayed in the movies. Pelant will play a big role in season 8 as he continues to stay one step ahead. Had Emily or David read Kathy Reichs’ books before making the show?

A UK fans asks about their favorite part of shooting a episode in London. There’s no intention to jump forward in time to age the Bones babies. What is the nature of Max’s character? Is there a specific plan for the 150th episode yet? David and Emily mock special agent characters with foreign accents.

David thinks Buffy was wrapped up just as Joss wanted but he would be open to appearing in a movie if that should happen. Season 8 will have 4 unique episodes. One episode is from the perspective of the skull.
