Classic Rock magazine’s Roll of Honour awards ceremony will honor rock legends ZZ Top with a Living Legends award. “ZZ Top band members are excitedly gearing up to attend the 2012 Classic Rock Awards,” guitarist Bily Gibbons said. “A celebration held in a timely manner following the long awaited release of the new ZZ disc, La Futura. Good times for sure…! We’ve stuck it out long enough to where this once unpredictable style, which has no basis other than oddness, brought us back into vogue.”

Previous winners of the Living Legend award include Iggy Pop, Jimmy Page, Alice Cooper, Lemmy, Jeff Beck and Ozzy Osbourne. This year’s ceremony will be held on November 13 at London’s Roundhouse.

ZZ Top’s latest album, La Futura, will be released on Sept.

Billy Gibbons can be seen on Bones rockin’ baby Michael Hodgins to sleep as only Angela’s father could.
